On-Grid
An On-Grid system is a solar panel system that is directly connected to the PLN (state electricity) grid. The electricity generated from the solar panels is used to power your home or building during the day. This system does not use batteries and helps reduce your electricity bills. However, it will not operate during a PLN power outage for safety reasons.
1. Solar Panel
A solar panel captures sunlight and converts solar energy into electricity through a photovoltaic process.
2. Inverter
Solar power is converted by the inverter from DC to AC. It’s then sent to the electrical panel for home use.
3. Grid
The grid is PLN’s power distribution network. Users can draw from it when solar output is low.
4. MCB
Protects the solar panel system from overcurrent and short circuits.
5. Load
The energy produced is then used to meet electricity needs.
